It instantly turns raw thoughts into great writing. For this project, I worked closely with the co-founders Matt Mireles and Yousif Astarabadi. It’s a New England IPA, with a super heavy and fruity hoppy aroma. Its texture is thick, cloudy, and chewie, resembling juice with pulp, than beer.In 2015 when the company co-founder James told me about SOUP, the first thing that flashed on my mind was the Campbell’s Soup Cans of Andy Warhol. I wanted the design to feel thick and juicy, and the labels to look iconic and playful just like the name.We used a combination of photography and image manipulation to achieve the results.Later on, I collaborated with illustrator Silvana Casuccio Martín to turn the photographical designs into illustrations in order to use on merchandising.&nbsp; SOUP was a success. Blurring the line between packaging and editorial design, this idea could provide a space for the brewery to to take a stand on current affairs. Besides, the craft beer bars were filled with labels with beautiful vector illustations but there weren’t any using 3D or photography. In 2018, Garage cans were awarded with the “Excellence in Design Award” by the Communication Arts Magazine; one of the largest international trade journals of visual communications around the globe. ART DIRECTION BRAND IDENTITY PACKAGING DESIGN PRINTED MATERIALS Garage Beer Co. is a brewery located in Barcelona. In 2014, we were commissioned to create a brand that resonates with the city’s vibrant design &amp; beer scene. The challenge was to create a memorable and strong brand in a saturated craft beer market. After weeks of brainstorming with the founders, we decided to focus on a powerful brand mark. This classic approach was a bold decision, different from the rest of the new branding projects in the craft world, which were mostly based in minimalism. Using a slab-serif font, we combined retro Nashville vibes with urban and contemporary Barcelona aesthetics. They share information to counter insecurity, distrust, and disinformation and support the principles of democracy through accessible and easily understandable formatting on social media. Working together with Hande Bozatli and Klaus Klipp, I prepared a rebrand concept proposal for the House of Democracy, studying how to approach to a younger and broader audience by using design. The company’s existing look&amp;feel was geared towards an older audience than the audience that they were aiming to reach.
